数週間前に発表された初のトランスジェンダーモデルと昨年のLGBTモデル論争に引き続き、10月初め、ヴィクトリアズシークレットは初のプラスサイズモデル・アリ・テート・カトラーを起用した。
ランジェリー大企業であるヴィクトリアは、イギリスのランジェリーブランドであるブルーベラコレクションのいくつかをアメリカの複数店舗とオンラインで販売すると発表、そして、この機会にアリ・テート・カトラーを起用してブルーベラのプラスサイズも展開開始。
アリは本人のインスタグラムで「私はヴィクトリアで初めての14号サイズモデルだと思う。ともかく、私は自分が十代の頃に憧れていたブランドとの仕事にワクワクしているところ。女性の体にとっても正しい方向への第一歩だと思う」と発信している。
Following its first transgender model a few weeks ago and its polemic last year regarding LGBT models, Victoria’s Secret hired in the beginning of October its first plus-sized model in the name of Ali Tate-Cutler.
The lingerie giant has announced that it will sell some of the British lingerie brand Bluebella collection pieces in some of its stores in the United States and online. On this occasion, Victoria’s Secret started working with some of the Bluebella plus-sized model such as Ali Tate-Cutler.
The model made the announcement via her Instagram account. “I believe I’m the first size 14 on @victoriassecret? Regardless I’m pretty stoked to work with a brand I idolized when I was a teen. Great step in the right direction for bodies,” she wrote.
