若い女性(18～24歳)の大多数(80%)がBrexitに反対票を投じた。このことからも想像できるように、彼女たちは今後Brexitが彼女らに与えうる影響について危惧している。
現段階では全てが憶測にすぎないとしても、彼女たちの懸念はEUが女性にとって最も優れた法律を持つ機関の一つであることと無関係ではない。しかし、たとえ同じ法律がBrexit 後のイギリス国内でも適用されるようになったとして、それでも状況悪化の可能性は否めない。ちなみに、これらの法律にはEUが管理する女性サービスに関するものも含まれる。
また、イギリス経済はBrexit 後に停滞、あるいは衰退の可能性が高い。そのような状況で経済危機が起きた場合、2008年から2009年のリーマンショックの時がそうであったように、女性は男性よりもさらに影響を受けやすい傾向がある。
As the vast majority of young women (aged between 18 and 24) voted against Brexit (80% to remain), now they are afraid of the consequences that Brexit can have on them.
Even if all is only speculation for the moment, these concerns are correlated to the fact that the European Union have one of the best legislation for women, and even if the majority of this legislation has been incorporated in the UK, turning back is possible. To this, we can also include the women services controlled by the EU.
Added to that, the UK economy is most likely to go down after Brexit.
However, during economic crisis, women tend to be more affected than men as it was the case during the 2008-2009 crisis.
