ドイツのソフトウェアメーカーであるSAPは、女性及びマイノリティー（少数派グループ）の起業家を支援するための国際起業支援計画を発表、開始した。
2017年に開始したSAP.IOというファンドプログラムは、今後5年間に世界中で少なくとも200の起業を支援するために、3500万ドルの投資を行った。
SAPのチーフストラテジーオフィサーであるDeepak Krishnamurthyによると、ファンドはその資金の40％を女性と少数派代表者に投資する予定だ。
これと比較して、PitchBook Data Incによると、2017年にはベンチャーキャピタル(他の資金調達団体)の2.2％が女性だけで設立したスタートアップに投資した。また、少なくとも1人の女性起業家がいるスタートアップに対しては13％未満のベンチャーキャピタルが投資した。
SAP, the German software maker has launched a dedicated global startup incubation program to promote and support women and minority founders.
It’s fund program, named SAP.IO launched in 2017 with $35 million of investments to help at least 200 startups around the world within the next five years.
According to SAP chief strategy officer Deepak Krishnamurthy the fund will invest 40 percent of its money in women and underrepresented minorities.
In comparison and according to PitchBook Data Inc, in 2017, only 2.2 percent of Venture Capital (another funding organization) went to women-only founded startups. And less than 13% went to startups with at least one female founder.
