アメリカ、イギリス、カナダ、アイルランド、オーストラリア・ニュージーランドの各在日商工会議所は、同性結婚を合法化するよう日本政府に要請した。平等な婚姻制度の実現は、世界中の才能あるLGBT当事者たち集め、日本のビジネスの国際競争力を強化すると主張している。日本においては同性カップルに対する住宅手当や配偶者の健康保険などの給付が難しいため、グローバル企業は才能あるLGBT当事者の採用に苦労しているためだ。さらに、平等な婚姻制度によって職場環境が快適になることでLGBT当事者もポテンシャルを十分に発揮できるようになれば、すべての企業に利益があるといえる。
The American, British, Canadian, Irish and Australian and New Zealand chamber of commerce asked the Japanese government to legalize same sex marriage in order to attract more talent to Japan. In their point of viewt marriage equality should strengthen the international competitiveness of businesses in Japan by allowing them to recruit LGBT talents from around the world. Internationals companies struggle to attract international LGBT talents due to the obstacles in offering benefits such as housing or spousal health insurrance. Moreover marriage equality will benefits all companies by allowing LGBT people to feel more confortable and reveal their full potential at work.
