ILO（国際労働機関）は、Fundacion ONCEと共同で、「障害を持つ人々（PWD）の仕事の未来を包括的にする」という新しいレポートを発表した。
この報告書は主に欧州連合の雇用状況に焦点を当てている。それによると、世界人口における障害者数の割合60％のうち、障害者雇用率は約36％である。
EUではPWDの60％が雇用されており、米国ではその割合はずっと低く、37％の障害者が働いている。
Eurostatで入手可能な最新のデータによると、失業については、障害のある女性の18.8％・障害のある男性の10.6％は、EUの失業率の6.3％にあたる。
また、報告書は、教育制度を辞めてしまう割合は、世界中で11％であるのに対し、PWDは22.5％であることも明らかにしている。
さらに、貧困と社会的排除のリスクにおいては、障害者は30％、障害のない人は21.5％と、障害者の割合が高くなっている。
労働システムにPWDを含めるために、「障害のある人を雇用すると、経済的損失につながる可能性がある」といった誤解を与えるだけではなく、必要なすべての改善点リストを報告。トピックに関する研究は、業績への有益な影響を明らかにしている。

ILO (International Labour Organization) in collaboration with the Fundacion ONCE released a new report “Making the future of work inclusive for people with disabilities” (PWD).
While the report mostly focus on the employment situation in the European Union, it also states the employment rate of people with disabilities across the world is around 36%. The world’s employment rate for non disabled people is at 60%.
According to the report, in the EU 60% of PWD are employed, compared to 80% for the global population. The proportion is much lower in the US with 37% of PWD working compared to 77% for the global population.
Regarding unemployment, 18.8% of the women with disabilities and 10.6% of the men with disabilities are unemployed for a 6.3% of unemployment rate in the EU according to the last data available on Eurostat.
The report also reveals 22.5% of the PWD drop off the education system compared to 11% of the global population.
Furthermore, PWD have a greater risk of poverty and social exclusion than the people without disabilities, 30% compared to 21.5%.
The report also list all the improvements necessary to include PWD in the labor system as well as reminding some misconceptions such as “employing someone with disabilities could result in an economic loss” while studies on the topic reveal a benefic impact on business performances.
