米国における働きがいのある会社ランキング「Fortune100」は、上場企業におけるC-Suite性別ダイバーシティの新しいレポートを明らかにした。
C-Suiteとは、CEO（最高経営責任者）・CFO（最高財務責任者）・COO（最高執行責任者）・CIO（最高情報責任者）など、「C」から始まる会社の経営を司る役職一式を称している。
米国では1923年にERA(男女平等憲法修正条項)と呼ばれる条項の修正案が起草。現在100年経ち、男女平等になったものの、本当の意味での平等にはまだ長い道のりが必要である。
100企業のうち、Apple・Amazon・Morgan Stanleyを含む18社の企業では、C-Suiteに女性が含まれていない。
最もC-Suiteが多様化している企業は、大手保険会社Anthemで、C-Suiteの75％が女性である。次いで、C-Suite 女性率が高い企業としてIBM（67％）・Walt Disney（60％）の名前が挙がった。
その次に続く9社は、完全にC-Suite男女比率は半分であり、残りの88社の企業は、女性より男性の方が多いことが報告された。
業種でみると、ヘルスケア業界が、C-Suiteにおける女性の割合35％とトップとなった。エネルギ業界においては、わずか21％にとどまった。
A new report revealed the C-Suite gender diversity of the Fortune 100 listed companies.
C-Suite refers to senior executives positions such as CEO (Chief Executive Officer), CFO (Chief Financial Officer), COO (Chief Operating Officer) or CIO (Chief Information Officer).
In 1923, the US introduced a new amendment called “Equal Right Amendment” providing equality of the sexes and prohibiting discrimination based on sex.
Hundred years later, equality has improved but parity still has a long way to go.
Out of the 100 companies, 18 had zero female on C-Suite positions including Apple, Amazon or Morgan Stanley.
The most diversified company is Anthem, an Insurance company, with 75% of its C-Suite positions held by female. Followed by IBM (67%) and Walt Disney (60%).
The next nine companies reported a perfect parity 50-50, meaning 88 companies have more men than women on their C-Suite positions.
Regarding the most diversified sectors, Healthcare comes in first with 35% of female holding C-Suite positions. The less been Energy with only 21% of the positions held by women.
