アメリカン航空会社のデルタは、エンターテインメントプログラムでジェンダーバランスの取れたコンテンツを増やすために、社会におけるジェンダーバランスの改善を目的とした非営利組織ReFrameと共同で新しいプロジェクトを立ち上げた。
デルタは、自社のビデオライブラリがReFrame規格で承認されたジェンダーバランスの取れたコンテンツを提案することを保証。承認には、ビデオコンテンツにおいて映画制作に必要な8つの領域のうち、4つに女性が関わっていなければならない。ライター、ディレクター、プロデューサー、リード(指導者)、共同リード、配役、部長、撮影クルーなどがそうだ。

「我々は、ジェンダーバランスの取れた映画やテレビ番組の称賛のためデルタと提携することを楽しみにしている。 世界中のアーティストからの多様でインパクトのあるストーリーは、新しい視点につながり、有意義な対話が促されるのに役立つと考えている」とReFrameの共同設立者であるケリー・プットナム（Keri Putnam）とキャシー・シュルマン（Cathy Schulman）が述べた。
さらに、デルタは映画における男女平等を支援するため、Women in Filmへの年間125,000ドルの寄付の一環としてReFrameの行動を支援するため100,000ドルを寄付している。昨年、デルタは映画「Booksmart」でレズビアンのシーンを省略したことで非難された。同社はその後、このような間違いが二度と起こらないことを約束した。
Delta, the American Airlines company, launched in collaboration with ReFrame, a non-profit organization aimed to improve gender balance in our society, a new project to increase gender-balanced available contents in their entertainment programs.
The company will insure their video library will propose gender-balanced contents approved by the ReFrame standards. For this, the video contents must have female present in 4 out of the 8 areas necessary to produce a movie; writers, directors, producers, leads, co-leads, speaking parts, department heads, and crew.

On top of that, Delta is also donating $100 000 to support ReFrame’s action as part of their annual $125 000 donation to Women in Film to support gender equity in movies.
Last year, Delta was under fire for omitting a lesbian scene in the movie “Booksmart”. The company later on assured such mistake will not be committed again.
