50,000ドルに加え、商品の利益もGLSENに入る。
ドウェイン・ウェイド（Dwayne Wade）はアメリカ史上最も成功したバスケットボール選手の一人で、彼の奥さんであるガブリエル・ユニオン・ウェイド（Gabrielle Union-Wade）は著名な女優・作家であり、また慈善活動に従事しながらマイノリティをサポートしている。彼女は女性に対する暴力を防ぐため、オバマ政権と共に他の仕事でも活躍したことがある。
ウェイド家がLGBTをサポートしたのはこれが初めてではない。４月には11歳の息子であるザイオン（Zion）のイニシアチブのもと、彼らはマイアミで行われたPride Paradeに参加した。

The Wade family donated $50 000 to help LGBT education and inclusion.
The family created a LGBT friendly T-shirt in association with GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network), a US based organization fighting discrimination, bullying and harassment based on gender identity and sexual orientation in school.
In rainbow colors, the T-shirt display the message “Please remain Inclusive & Dedicated 2 Equality”.
In addition to the $50.000, 50% of the profits will go to the association.
Dwayne Wade is considered one of the most successful basketball players in American history, his wife Gabrielle Union-Wade is a successful American actress and author engaged in philanthropy and support to minorities. She worked on other projects with the Obama administration to prevent violence against women.
This isn’t the first time the Wade family showed support to LGBT, in April under the initiative of Dwayne’s eleven years old son Zion, they attended the Miami’s Pride Parade.
“I think, as a family, we should support each other. That’s our job. And my job as a father is to facilitate their lives and to support them and be behind them in whatever they want to do,” said Dwayne Wade towards Zion’s action.
On Instagram Gabrielle Union wrote, “As a family, we believe inclusion and equality are two essential pillars needed to move towards growth and progressive thinking and action in our society. We have created a limited edition T-shirt to help create a more inclusive space with our platform… The GLSEN organization whose mission strives to ensure safe schools for all students, regardless of sexual orientation as well as gender identity”.
