34の多国籍企業、不平等を減らすことを約束

最近開かれたフランスでのG7の決定により、34の多国籍企業が、人権の向上、包括的な職場環境作り、システム内外におけるインクルージョン改善のために努力することを約束した。

これら34の企業は400万人の従業員を抱え、年間１兆ドル以上の収益を生み出している。

“Business for Inclusive Growth”と呼ばれるプロジェクトはダノン(Danone)、イケア(Ikea)、ユニリーバ(Unilever)、ロレアル(L’Oréal)など多くの企業を再び集結させることとなった。全ての企業のリストはこちら。

この3年間のプログラムは以下のことを目標としている：

• 企業、サプライチェーンの労働者にとって適正な給与体系の確立
• 管理職や役員内のダイバーシティー向上
• 難民の受け入れ
• 従業員が新しい仕事に慣れるためのトレーニングプログラム設定
• スモールビジネスに対する財政援助

このプログラムの一部は企業、公的機関、慈善活動に熱心な俳優らからの融資によって賄われている。また、ゲイツ基金からも10億ユーロの融資を受けている。

Following the recent G7 in France, 34 multinational companies commit to step up efforts to advance human rights, to create inclusive work environments and to enhance inclusion in their internal and external systems.

These companies employ more than 4 million employees and generate over $1000 billion in annual turnover.

The project called “Business for Inclusive Growth” (B4IG) reunite companies such as  Danone, Ikea, Unilever, L’Oréal and more. To see the complete list please click here. 

This 3 year program aims to: 

• Establish a decent living wage for workers in the company and in the entire supply chain.
• Promote diversity in boards of directors and executives in the companies.
• Integrate refugees into the companies.
• Set up training programs to help employees adapt to the new work in the future.
• Financially support small businesses.

This program will be financed in part through innovative financing mechanisms between companies, public authorities and philanthropic actors. And in part through private financing of about one billion euros via the Gates Foundation among others.
