企業は黒人固有のヘアスタイル（アフロやブレイズ、ツイストなど）を理由に差別をしてはならない。違反すれば25万ドルの罰金を科される。
これは髪型による差別を受けてきたアフリカ系アメリカ人の権利保護を目的としており、アフリカ系アメリカ人がより自信を持って社会参画出来ることを可能にする。
The New York City commission on Human Rights declared hair style is now part of racial discrimination.
Companies can’t discriminate based on natural hairstyles such as Afro, Braids, Twits etc. otherwise they will incurs a fine of $250 000.
This should allow the blacks community, often discriminated for their hairstyle, to feel more confident and integrated.
