2016年以来、毎年、「伝統的な結婚、宗教的自由、人生の神聖性の中核的価値を保持するために、アメリカ市民に情報を提供し動員するフォーラム」が開催されています。 このフォーラムは、米国保守派連合、全米ライフル協会（NRA）、アメリカの家族研究評議会（アメリカのキリスト教擁護と活動主義のグループ）によって組織されています。
米国の副大統領がフォーラムでスピーチをしたのは初めて。 しかし2017年には、最初の大統領としてドナルド・トランプも出席している。
The Vice President appeared at the event put on by the Family Research Council, which has been deemed a hate group.
“A forum to inform and mobilize American citizens to preserve the core values of traditional marriage, religious freedom and the sanctity of life” organized every year since its creation in 2006, by the US Conservative Union, the National Rifle Association (NRA) and the American Family Research Council a group of American Christian advocacy and activism.
It was the first time a vice president give a speech in the conference but he succeed to Donald Trump who went there in 2017 as the first president to go.
